An Extraordinary Event!
WIA, Inc. proudly hosts the annual Woodland Indian Art Show & Market every November, bringing together talented Native artists from across the U.S. and Canada. This two-day event showcases a juried art competition, a stunning Indigenous fashion show, and vendor booths featuring a diverse selection of Woodland Indian art available for purchase. Attendees can enjoy live music, engaging presentations, hands-on art classes open to all, and networking opportunities to connect with the artists. We hope you will join us in celebrating the culture and creativity of Woodland Indian art at our next event! Those involved in the show believe...it is vital that native tribes hold onto their unique cultural identity. Too often, native culture and arts are mistakenly viewed as one culture, the same in every tribe. We strive to raise awareness of Woodland Indian art. We want people to recognize that Woodland Indian art is on a different track than Southwestern Indian art. The Woodland Indian tribes have floral, woodland animals and birds, and streams in their environment. That’s different from the Southwestern Indians who have mountains, prairies, and deserts in their surroundings.Woodland Indian Arts uses a variety of media...such as porcupine quills, moose hair, black ash and birch baskets, flat and raised beadwork. The Oneida people have their wampum belts, raised beadwork and unique pottery designs; the Menominee have wood carvers and painters who bring out the spirit of the woods they live in; the northern Chippewas have lure carvers and birch bark art. These are just a few examples of Woodland Indian art that come together annually at the Woodland Indian Arts & Culture Festival.By bringing Woodland Indian artists together...and celebrating the many diverse native art forms and styles, we raise awareness of the distinct artistic styles of the Eastern United States and southern parts of Canada. In doing so, we also create the opportunity for economic growth for artists’ through networking and sales of their art to buyers and collectors of Native American art.

An Evening of the Classics: Joseph Sartori Concert Series Presented by the Plymouth Arts Center PLYMOUTH, WI — The Plymouth Arts Center will present its semi-annual Joseph Sartori Concert Series, “An Evening of the Classics,” on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will feature VOX, a Sheboygan-based ensemble known for its distinctive three-part vocal harmonies and engaging blend of musical styles. The performance is graciously underwritten by the Sartori Company. About VOX: Founded in 2017, VOX brings together vocalists Marie Hetzel, Stephanie Stowers, and Anne Lapinski, with Simon Ulrich, Tammie Butzen, and Sophie Bartol providing guitar, bass, keyboards, and percussion. Together, the six-member ensemble creates a rich, integrated sound that showcases the versatility and emotional power of vocal harmony.VOX’s repertoire offers something for every listener, moving effortlessly from keyboard-driven R&B and up-tempo pop to relaxing finger-picked ballads and classic a cappella blues. At the heart of every performance is the group’s signature beautifully woven three-part harmony. About the Concert Series: The Joseph Sartori Concert Series was established at the Plymouth Arts Center as a tribute to the late Joseph Sartori, honoring his musical talent and recognizing the Sartori family’s generous support of the Arts Center. “An Evening of the Classics” made its debut at the Plymouth Arts Center in November 2008 with a performance by Ensemble `Eclatant, directed by Riley McKinch. The series continues to bring exceptional musical performances to the community twice each year, with concerts presented in both the spring and fall. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for youth ages 16 and under, with tax included. Tickets are available at the Plymouth Arts Center, 520 E. Mill Street, downtown Plymouth, by phone at (920) 892-8409, or online at www.plymoutharts.org. The Plymouth Arts Center invites music lovers of all ages to enjoy an evening of memorable performances, timeless favorites, and the exceptional harmonies of VOX. Jim Sartori, CEO of the Sartori Company, offered these comments after the very first show: “our dad, Joseph Sartori, while known primarily for his work with S & R Cheese/Sartori Company, for most of his life, was also known as a highly accomplished pianist. Joseph's aunt, Ada Lombardi, an acclaimed concert pianist with the Philadelphia Philharmonic Orchestra, taught Joseph the piano, and especially “The Classics.” While he did not pursue a musical career, as his aunt thought he should, he did continue to play, practically daily, for the rest of his life. The Steinway grand piano used for “An Evening of the Classics” is the one our dad bought in the early 1960s. He played for his own enjoyment, as well as that of his family and friends. Many pianists who have played "Papa Joe’s” Steinway at the Plymouth Arts Center speak highly of its sound and feel privileged to have the opportunity to play such a wonderful instrument. Our dad will be listening to the concert, and the Sartori family is proud to be a part of “An Evening of The Classics.”
